€880 per week. Most residents considering nursing home care apply for and are assessed by the HSE for weekly financial support under the scheme popularly known as Fair Deal. This system offers residents and their families two options.
- Option 1:A resident or their family can initially pay nothing towards the cost of their care. The cost of care is then paid for when the resident’s estate is settled.
- Option 2:A resident or their family can choose to receive immediate financial support to help pay the weekly cost of care. Under this option, the HSE pays an agreed percentage of the care costs to Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home, with the resident or their family paying the remaining amount.
