Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home is registered to provide care to residents aged 18 years or older who have a physical disability, mental health problems, dementia, intellectual disability, or acquired brain injury.
We continue to provide significant long and short-term respite care, palliative care, and hospital step-down care to a growing number of residents. We also provide care for those in need of rest and recuperation, or a break from having to cater for themselves.
We provide 24-hour nursing care together with a supporting team of well-trained care assistants. This enables us to look after every resident’s individual needs. The home is also well supported by an excellent team of GP’s from the local community.
Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home was specifically designed as a single-storey building andis laid out to provide the very highest level of comfort and safety for our residents.
We have 44 single en-suite and two double en-suite bedrooms, all with telephone and TV points and a nurse call system. The nursing home is very spacious, warm, and bright with seven different areas for residents and families to sit and chat, read a book, or watch TV.
Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home was opened in December 2005. It has been owned and
run by Philip O’Donnell and Anne Mc Gilloway since 2011. Prior to this, Philip and Anne managed The Lake House Nursing Home in Portnablagh for four years.
Please don’t hesitate to call us on 074-9163288 to organise a visit to our nursing home. Anne and I would be happy to discuss your individual needs when we meet.
